In the beginning I didn't really understand the hype behind Jojo. I thought it was just another shounen series that was just the hot topic of the month. And then I watched P4 and I figured out why people were talking about it so much.

After getting through that part with my cousin in a few days, we ended up watching the preceding parts. From there I read P5 and became totally obsessed with the series.

I quickly became even more obsessed with SBR as I started reading it. I'd probably put P5 and P7 on the same level as far as my favorites go, with Johnny, Diego, Fugo, and Sheila E being some of my favorite characters.

When I was really into P5, I decided to read a translation of Purple Haze Feedback and loved it just as much as I loved reading the manga itself. I don't know if I still have access to that translation, but I think it would be nice to go back and reread it if I ever could.

I've made some friends through mutual love of the series, actually, and I'm really glad I ended up getting into it. I'm glad I gave it a chance despite my reservations in the beginning. Even with the unavoidable fandom drama you could find in every nook and cranny, it was still fun to get to see all of the art and stuff that was born from the love this series received back then.
