Shrines

I found Mieruko-chan through a post on Tumblr about the chapter with the old woman and the safe! I remember thinking it was very sweet and wanting to know more about the series, so eventually I looked into it further.
I really love horror and I really love silly things, so this was a no brainer for me. I ended up really liking it once I got past the bits of fanservice at the beginning of the manga and have so far read up to the end of the first arc.

Needless to say I'm a bit behind, seeing as more and more volumes of the manga keep being released and I haven't bought another one in over a year now... I'll get around to it eventually. Probably when the motivation strikes.
I think it does a good job of taking itself seriously when it wants to and it does tell a very compelling story when it gets down to it. Or I mean, it has from what I've read of it, and so it's earned a spot on here. I especially enjoyed the one part with the pudding towards the beginning.

I'm really looking forward to seeing where the story goes and what other fun shenanigans the characters can get into! I'm wondering if they'll ever continue the anime as well... I don't think I've seen too much of the anime, though. I wonder if I'll ever get around to watching it...
