My cousin first introduced me to Soul Eater when I was in middle school, and I kind of hated it at first, to be entirely honest... But it grew on me rather quickly. The style of the show really stuck with me and I thought it was super cool.

My friends in middle school ended up loving it as well, so we all ended up talking about it together during lunches and whatnot. It made me feel like I belonged somewhere to have people I could talk to so casually about things like that. We had a lot of fun together.

I decided to read the manga for the first time around the beginning of high school. I ended up liking it more than the anime and it went on to be one of my favorites for the longest time. I loved watching the art improve as the series went on and I loved the way the story continued where it had ended so abruptly in the anime.

I still remember the days I spent during that spring break watching the anime with my siblings and cousins fondly. I remember looking forward to seeing what would happen in the next episode. I remember how amazing the animation was to me, how mindblowing...

All that being said, I don't' know if this is one I'll ever end up revisiting any time soon. I can't help but feel like some things are better left in your memory, you know? Where they can live in peace forever. Maybe someday I'll end up rereading the manga again just for the sake of nostalgia...
